① Find the connection between your major and a work visa Depending on the field you studied in college, the eligible occupations and conditions for the work visa you can apply for after graduation, such as E-7, can vary completely. If you find out in advance which job roles and visa codes match your major in the Korean job market, you can avoid wasting time in the wrong places and set your job search direction much more accurately!
② Secure the timing for changing your visa status (D-2 -> D-10) This is a point many people misunderstand! A study abroad (D-2) visa is not automatically maintained the moment you receive your diploma. If you want to stay in Korea after graduation and continue job hunting, you must change your status to a job-seeking visa (D-10) or another appropriate status within the designated period. Be sure to check the exact requirements and application deadline in the latest version through HiKorea notices or your local Immigration and Foreigners Office!
③ Secure job information channels dedicated to foreigners It is really important to build the habit of quickly gathering useful information in one place, such as job postings that perfectly match your visa conditions, dedicated hiring portals actively looking for international students, and helpful programs like ambassador or internship opportunities.
