Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, duties, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between Foreedom Inc. ("Company") and users regarding the use of the UNIVijob service ("Service") operated by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

The definitions of terms used in these Terms are as follows:

1. "Service" refers to the Korean university information platform for international students provided by the Company, including functions such as university information search, admission information verification, and inquiry to university administrators.
2. "User" refers to members and non-members who use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
3. "Member" refers to a person who has registered for the Service and has been assigned a user account (ID) to use the Service.
4. "Non-member" refers to a person who uses the Service without registering.
5. "Administrator Member" refers to a member who belongs to a university or educational institution and registers/manages university information.
6. "University Information" refers to all content registered by Administrator Members in the Service, including university introductions, admission guidelines, and department information.
7. "Post" refers to content such as inquiries, responses, and materials posted by members within the Service.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of Terms)

1. The Company posts the contents of these Terms on the initial service screen or connected screen so that users can easily understand them.
2. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent not violating relevant laws such as the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
3. When the Company amends the Terms, it will specify the effective date and reason for amendment and post them together with the current Terms on the service initial screen from 7 days before the effective date until the day before the effective date. However, if the Terms are changed unfavorably to users, a minimum of 30 days advance notice period will be provided.
4. If a user does not agree to the application of the amended Terms, they may stop using the Service and withdraw their membership. If no objection is expressed by the effective date of the amended Terms, it is deemed that the user has agreed to the amendment.

Article 4 (Rules Outside the Terms)

Matters not specified in these Terms and interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws such as the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, or customary practices.

Article 5 (Conclusion of Use Agreement)

1. The service use agreement is concluded when an applicant who wishes to become a member ("Applicant") agrees to the contents of these Terms, applies for membership, and the Company approves this.
2. The Company, in principle, approves the Applicant's application. However, approval may be refused or deferred in the following cases.
3. For Administrator Members, registration is approved only after completing university email domain (.ac.kr or .edu) verification.

• If the Applicant has previously lost membership status under these Terms
• If the application is not under a real name or uses another person's information
• If false information is provided or information requested by the Company is not provided
• For Administrator Members, if university email verification is not completed
• If registering the member significantly hinders the Company's technical operations

Article 6 (Change of Member Information)

Members can view and modify their information through the account settings screen within the Service. Members must immediately update any changes to information provided during registration, and the Company is not responsible for any disadvantages arising from failure to update.

Article 7 (Member Withdrawal and Loss of Status)

1. Members may request withdrawal at any time through the withdrawal function within the Service or customer center, and the Company will process the withdrawal immediately.
2. The Company may restrict or suspend a member's status in the following cases.

• If false information was registered during registration
• If interfering with others' use of the Service or misusing their information threatens the order of service operation
• If using the Service to engage in activities prohibited by laws or these Terms or against public order and morals
• If an Administrator Member registers false university information or maliciously manipulates information

In case of loss of member status, the Company will notify the member and provide an opportunity to explain before deleting the membership registration.

Article 8 (Service Provision)

The services provided by the Company are as follows:

1. University information search and viewing service
2. University admission guideline information service
3. Favorite university saving and management service
4. Inquiry service to university administrators
5. University information registration/management service for Administrator Members
6. Other services developed by the Company or provided through partnerships

Non-members can also use university information search and viewing services. However, some functions such as saving favorite universities and making inquiries are available after membership registration.

Article 9 (Service Changes and Suspension)

1. The Company may change all or part of the Service according to operational or technical needs.
2. When there are changes to the content, method, or hours of the Service, the reason for change, changed Service content, and provision date will be posted on the service initial screen before the change.
3. The Company may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service in the following cases.

• In case of maintenance, replacement, failure of information and communication facilities such as computers, or interruption of communication
• In case of unavoidable circumstances due to facility maintenance work for the Service
• In case of force majeure such as natural disasters or national emergencies

Article 10 (Information Provision and Advertisement Posting)

1. The Company may provide various information deemed necessary to members during Service use through notices within the Service, email, etc.
2. The Company may post advertisements on service screens, emails, etc. in connection with Service operation.
3. Members will receive advertising emails only when they have separately agreed to receive advertising information.

Article 11 (University Information Registration)

1. Administrator Members must register and maintain accurate and up-to-date information about their affiliated university.
2. Administrator Members warrant that the university information they register is consistent with facts and does not violate relevant laws and school regulations.
3. Administrator Members and their affiliated universities are responsible for any legal disputes or damages arising from university information registered by Administrator Members.
4. The Company does not guarantee and has no obligation to verify the accuracy or legality of information registered by Administrator Members.

Article 12 (Modification and Deletion of University Information)

1. The Company may modify or delete university information registered by Administrator Members without prior notice in the following cases.

• If it contains false or exaggerated information
• If it contains content that infringes on others' rights or damages their reputation
• If it contains content that violates laws
• If it is otherwise deemed inappropriate for Service operation

Article 13 (User Obligations)

Users must not engage in the following activities when using the Service:

• Registering false information during registration or information changes
• Misusing others' information
• Unauthorized modification of information posted by the Company
• Transmitting or posting information (such as computer programs) other than information specified by the Company
• Infringing on intellectual property rights such as copyrights of the Company and other third parties
• Damaging the reputation of the Company and other third parties or interfering with their business
• Disclosing or posting obscene or violent messages, images, sounds, or other information contrary to public order and morals on the Service
• Using the Service for commercial purposes without the Company's consent
• Other illegal or improper activities

Article 14 (Member Account Management)

1. Members are responsible for managing their account (ID) and password and must not allow third parties to use them.
2. Members must immediately notify the Company if their account is used fraudulently, and the Company is not responsible for any disadvantages arising from failure to notify.
3. The Company may restrict the use of a member's account if there is a risk of personal information leakage, if it is antisocial or contrary to good morals, or if there is a risk of being mistaken for the Company or its operators.

Article 15 (Attribution of Copyright)

1. Copyrights and intellectual property rights for the Service belong to the Company. However, university information registered by Administrator Members and posts by members are exceptions.
2. Users must not use information obtained through the Service for commercial purposes or allow third parties to use it by reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, or other methods without prior consent from the Company.
3. Administrator Members retain copyrights and related rights to university information they register and warrant that they have legitimate authority to post such information on the Company's Service.
4. Administrator Members grant the Company a non-exclusive license to use the registered university information for service operation purposes, including reproduction, display, distribution, and creation of derivative works. This license remains valid until the termination of the Service.

Article 16 (Post Management)

1. Copyrights of posts published by members within the Service belong to the respective authors.
2. Members must ensure their posts do not infringe on intellectual property rights such as copyrights of others, and all responsibility lies with the respective member in case of disputes.
3. The Company may delete, move, or refuse registration of posts in the following cases without prior notice.

• Content that defames or damages the reputation of other members or third parties
• Content that violates public order and morals
• Content deemed to be associated with criminal activities
• Content that infringes on copyrights of the Company, third parties, or other rights
• Content otherwise deemed to violate relevant laws

Article 17 (Damages)

1. If the Company or user violates these Terms and causes damage to the other party, they are responsible for compensating for such damage.
2. The Company is not liable for damages in connection with the use of services provided free of charge unless there is intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Company.
3. If damage occurs to users due to errors or inaccuracies in university information registered by Administrator Members, the Company is not responsible, and the respective Administrator Member and affiliated university bear responsibility.

Article 18 (Disclaimer)

1. The Company is exempt from responsibility for Service provision if it cannot provide the Service due to force majeure such as natural disasters or equivalent circumstances.
2. The Company is not responsible for Service use disruptions caused by the user's fault.
3. The Company is not responsible for users not obtaining or losing expected profits from using the Service.
4. The Company is not responsible for the reliability, accuracy, etc. of information, materials, and facts posted by users.
5. The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legality of university information posted on the Service. Users should directly contact the respective university for final confirmation of university information.
6. The Company has no obligation to intervene in disputes arising between users or between users and third parties through the Service and is not responsible for compensating for any resulting damages.

Article 19 (Dispute Resolution)

1. The Company gives priority to handling complaints and opinions submitted by users. However, if prompt processing is difficult, the user will be notified of the reason and processing schedule.
2. For disputes arising between the Company and users, if a user submits a damage relief request, it may be subject to mediation by a dispute resolution organization commissioned by the Fair Trade Commission or the Mayor/Provincial Governor.

Article 20 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

1. The laws of the Republic of Korea apply to the interpretation of these Terms and disputes between the Company and users.
2. If a lawsuit is filed regarding disputes arising from Service use, the court having jurisdiction over the Company's headquarters location shall be the exclusive court of jurisdiction.
