If you frequently use public transportation in Seoul and the Seoul Metropolitan Area, here’s some news you won’t want to miss.
If you recharged a 30-day Climate Card from April to June 2026 and used it normally until it expired, you can receive up to 90,000 won in total, 30,000 won per month.
In particular, there is also a separate application method for foreign residents who had difficulty verifying their registered address and therefore could not apply online, so be sure to check if this applies to you!
💰 You can get 30,000 won per month, up to 90,000 won!
Climate Card Payback (기후동행카드 페이백) is being held for users who recharged a 30-day Climate Card between April 1 and June 30, 2026, and used it until it expired.
Even if you used it for just one month, you can receive 30,000 won, and if you used all 3 months, you can receive up to 90,000 won.
The same 30,000 won per month is refunded regardless of card type, including regular, youth, teen, multi-child, and low-income cards.
Both prepaid physical and mobile cards, as well as postpaid Climate Card, are included.
🌏 How can foreign residents apply?
Foreign residents who have difficulty verifying their registered address can apply by submitting separate documents.
📅 Foreign resident application period: August 1, 2026 ~ August 31, 2026
After the deadline, it may be difficult to apply, so please prepare the required documents in advance.
📑 Documents to prepare
Foreign applicants must submit the following 3 documents.
Climate Card Payback application form and consent form for collection and use of personal information
Certificate of Registered Status as a Foreign Resident
Copy of a bankbook in your own name
The application forms can be downloaded from the Seoul Foreign Residents Center (서울외국인주민센터) website post. In particular, the refund can only be deposited into an account in the applicant’s own name, so you cannot use someone else’s account.

After preparing the documents, choose one of the methods below and submit them.

⚠️ Be sure to check before applying!
Before submitting the documents, please also check the following. If the information written on the application form differs from your Tmoney membership information, the refund may be difficult to process.
Also, the refund account must be a regular account that can be freely used for deposits and withdrawals, and protected accounts against seizure, savings bank accounts, securities accounts, and virtual accounts cannot be used as refund accounts. Even if you recharged a 30-day Climate Card, you will be excluded from the payback if you refunded it midway or did not let the usage period expire.
💡 General online applications are also open until August 31!
Users who can verify their registered address can apply online through the Tmoney Card & Pay website.
The overall payback application period runs from June 10, 2026 to August 31, 2026, and payments will be made sequentially to accounts in the applicant’s own name after the application and verification process.
