The stage of performing arts is filled with a wide variety of elements. For example, in theater, music, backgrounds, props, and actors are all carefully considered and created. Performing arts refer to music, dance, theater, and more, presented through performance, staging, or singing. The Department of Stage Design and Production teaches the production process for performances in such spaces as stages. Through practical training in various field settings and in-depth theoretical education on planning, directing, lighting, sound, video, and stage production necessary for performance creation, the program aims to cultivate future performance, event, and festival planners, directors, sound engineers and operators, lighting designers and operators, and camera directors.

It is beneficial to have an interest in various art fields such as music, dance, and literature. The major requires the drive and experimental spirit to plan and execute new works, as well as comprehensive thinking skills to observe and evaluate stage direction and artists' performances in an integrated manner.
Performing arts are subject to spatial and time constraints and are a one-time art form. Accordingly, this major teaches how to appropriately create and direct stage equipment, lighting, sound, choreography, and music according to the situation, taking these limitations into account.

Performing Arts Planning
This course aims to train performing arts planners by fostering practical skills through understanding the planning process tailored to the characteristics of each performance and by experiencing a variety of performances.
Practical Workshop in Performance Production
This hands-on course allows students to gain field experience by directly participating in local performances and events, managing everything from planning and directing to stage technology.
History of Stage Art
This course covers theaters and stage art, trends in contemporary stage art, and the current status and potential of stage art in Korea.
Fundamentals of Stage Technology
Students learn about the stage design process, tool usage, basic set construction, optical theory, principles of lighting systems, basic understanding of sound and acoustics, and the connection and operation of audio equipment.
Theory of Stage Direction
This course comprehensively covers the historical development of directing, analysis of plays from a director’s perspective, fundamental acting techniques, speech for dramatic dialogue, stage sets and lighting, and challenges in practical directing.
