Sehan University, located across two regions connecting the southern and central parts of Korea—Yeongam in Jeollanam-do and Dangjin in Chungcheongnam-do—is a private university established in 1993 that focuses on cultivating practical and creative talents, as reflected in its slogan, “A university that creates the talents of the future.” After changing its name from Daebul University to Sehan University in 2012, it now has approximately 3,400 undergraduate and 500 graduate students, and has established itself as a university centered on practical education that makes substantial contributions to local industry and social development. Sehan University’s greatest distinguishing feature lies in its field-oriented practical education and regionally specialized academic structure.
