About University

World Cyber University is a leading cyber university in Korea, established under the Lifelong Education Act, offering associate degree programs. It has positioned itself as a “hub of lifelong learning,” enabling students to continue their studies anytime and anywhere. Even without a physical campus, students from various age groups and professions can acquire knowledge without the constraints of time and space. The university especially prides itself on its open culture for learners from diverse backgrounds, such as working professionals, homemakers, and adult learners. “A place where anyone, at any time, can change their life”—this is the core identity of World Cyber University. The greatest strengths of World Cyber University are its practical, customized academic departments and diverse scholarship programs. Specializing in associate degree programs, the university focuses on cultivating practical skills that can be immediately applied in the field. For example, it offers practice-oriented curricula connected to industry and tailored courses for various groups such as working professionals, homemakers, and adult learners. In addition, the university operates a detailed scholarship system according to students’ circumstances, including scholarships for working professionals, homemakers, adult learners, and department head recommendations. There is also enhanced support for students with specific backgrounds, such as merit scholarships for graduates of broadcasting and telecommunication high schools. Thanks to this systematic support, students can reduce their financial burden and realize their academic dreams. Despite its short history, World Cyber University has expanded its social role as a leader in lifelong education. As a remote university in Korea focused on associate degree education, its greatest achievement has been lowering the barriers to higher education and expanding educational opportunities for diverse groups. Graduates are active as practical talents in various sectors of society, and since many students balance work and study, the university has become established as a “success model for adult learners.” In this way, World Cyber University is recognized as an institution with real social and economic impact. World Cyber University is also an attractive option for international students. Its diverse scholarship programs apply not only to domestic students but also to international students, offering broad support based on circumstances such as department head recommendations, employment, or homemaker status. In particular, scholarships can be awarded in various ways, including employment at the time of admission, department head recommendation, or alumni recommendation, reducing the financial burden. However, international students must check the official website or admissions office for information on IEQAS (International Education Quality Assurance System) certification by the Korean Ministry of Education, availability of English-taught courses, and dormitory provisions. As World Cyber University is based on online classes, students can take courses from anywhere in or outside Korea, providing an optimal environment for international students who wish to balance work and study. Various online support programs, such as counseling and learning mentoring for international students, are also available. Instead of a physical campus, World Cyber University provides a student-centered educational environment based on an advanced online learning platform. Since all classes and assignments are conducted remotely, students can focus on their studies in their own space without concerns about transportation or housing. For students balancing work and study, or family and study, the university offers “freedom of time and space”—that is the essence of World Cyber University. For those who dream of self-directed learning and taking on future challenges, World Cyber University is the best choice.
