Founded in 1947 as the first private four-year university in Korea after liberation, Dankook University is now a prestigious comprehensive university with dual campuses in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, and Cheonan, Chungnam Province. Affectionately known as “Dankook,” the university has played a central role in education, research, and social contribution under the guiding principles of “Hongik Ingan” and the mottos of “Patriotism, Independence, and Self-Reliance.” With the black bear, zelkova tree, and azalea as its symbols, Dankook University is evolving into a “global hub campus” where all students unite, communicate with the world, and grow together.
