The Department of Defense Technology is a program where students learn various technologies necessary for the development of cutting-edge weapons and military equipment using future technologies, integrated military tactics research for the use of weapons, and the development of advanced military equipment utilizing Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and IT.

The Department of Defense Technology aims to cultivate practical technical professionals who can contribute to the research and development, production, operation, maintenance, and repair of weapon systems. Recently, technologies related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution are being rapidly applied in the field of defense technology. Various technological developments are underway, such as vertical take-off and landing drones for coastal surveillance, small unmanned aerial vehicles for long-distance reconnaissance, unmanned weapon system technology development, and VR-based military training.

Introduction to Defense Science and Technology
This course selects and studies key weapons and technologies currently operated or developed by the military, and systematically covers the principles of science and technology as well as theories of military science and technology.
Ground Weapon Systems
Students will understand the concepts and characteristics of Army combat equipment and weapons, and learn about methods for developing weapon systems considering the geographical and strategic characteristics of military units.
Ordnance Engineering
This course provides basic knowledge about the materials and properties used in the manufacturing of weapons and military equipment, as well as efficient management, operation, and maintenance.
Radar Engineering
Students will learn various theories related to radar, including an overview of radar, calculation of detection range, transmitters/receivers, phased array radar antennas, tracking radar, electronic countermeasures, and other radar technologies.
Weapon Engineering
This course covers weapons and weapon systems, their development processes, large-caliber firearms, fuzes, anti-aircraft guns, guided weapons, nuclear weapons, and both current and future weapon technologies.
