It is important to have an interest in all types of data. In particular, efforts to apply and engage with big data are required. Creative problem-solving and application skills are necessary, along with technical and analytical abilities for handling data.
To understand the e-Business major, one must know the basic principles of both business administration and information technology, and possess the ability to integrate and apply these two fields. Experts required in modern society are either 'managers equipped with information technology,' 'IT professionals with a deep understanding of business administration,' or 'data analysts who can identify patterns and prepare accordingly through data.' Professionals who have studied this integrated field have several times the competitiveness compared to those who have specialized in only one area. e-Business involves 'conducting business processes using telecommunications networks and digital technologies, including the Internet.' This encompasses not only e-commerce, but also business functions such as production, logistics, marketing, human resource management, R&D, as well as organizational communication, coordination, management, and making decisions and planning future business activities through data analysis.
